Roadvent ® assists community leaders in meeting air quality targets

Provide clean air for communities

Installing Roadvent instantly provides cleaner air for communities, but most importantly those that need it most – babies & children.

Meet air quality targets

Stop breaches and start compliance. We work closely with clients to ensure we assist them in hitting their air quality targets.

Reduce the healthcare burden

It is well documented that air pollution creates a significant healthcare cost burden globally. Gradual air quality improvements also incrementally reduce healthcare costs.

How we can help

We assist local authorities, councils and government agencies to improve localised air quality.

By focusing on Air Quality Management Areas (AQMA), Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ) and pollution hot-spots, we ensure the highest level of impact in reducing human exposure to deadly pollutants in the areas that need it the most.

Our patented technology captures pollution at the closest possible proximity to the source of emissions – at the vehicle exhaust pipes, brakes and tyres. This ensures we capture and clean the dirtiest concentrations of airborne pollutants before they are able to disperse and become inhaled. This in turn significantly reduces the overall “road-side” pollutant levels – a key indicator of air quality for the public sector.

Our system has been independently verified and proven to be effective at reducing roadside air pollution levels by 91%.

Public sector use cases

City of westminster, London, Happy school kids (students pupils)

Outside schools and nurseries

Both schools and nurseries are faced with significant issues when looking to reduce the impact that air pollution has. Generally they are located near significant sources of pollution, such as busy roads and have playgrounds or open areas in which children congregate or socialise during break time.

Peak rush hours only exacerbate these issues. Roadvent offers unparalleled pollution reduction opportunities and is well suited to be installed at zebra crossings as well as pick up and drop off points which are often located nearby.

London air pollution in traffic

Traffic and hot spots

Traffic lights, road junctions, pedestrian crossings, street canyons and congested roads are typical pollution hot spots.

Roadvent is a turnkey solution that assists our clients in significantly reducing the way in which these hot spots damage human health. Not only has Roadvent been scientifically proven to reduce exposure to vehicle emissions by 91% at the roadside, it has also been scientifically proven to reduce in-car exposure when the source of emissions are the vehicle in front of you.

Installing Roadvent has air quality benefits for pedestrians, public workers, cyclists and drivers alike.

London bus stop

Taxi ranks & bus stops

Taxi ranks present a unique issue in that vehicles often have to move or ‘edge’ forward for a short distance to allow for the queue to reduce. This creates is a highly toxic air quality environment as drivers often leave engines running for convenience.

Bus stops also present significant issues when looking to improve air quality as buses are generally fitted with large engines that generate significant emissions.

Roadvent is an ideal solution for both taxi ranks and bus stops. Roadvent is available in modular sections, this allows for treatment of all lengths of roadway and we are able to tailor each installation to our client’s needs.

Toll booth pollution

Trainline crossings & toll booths

Most train line crossings have a footpath to allow pedestrians to cross the line once the train has passed. Whilst this creates convenience and safety, this also creates a significant health risk. Often vehicles queue whilst waiting at train lines with their engines running for long periods of time whilst waiting for the barrier to rise.

Train line crossings can therefore pose a significant health risk due to the emissions produced by stationary cars. This health risk affects neighbouring residents, pedestrians and drivers who are queuing in traffic.

Toll booths also create significant air pollution due to the way in which vehicles are caused to both slow down and stop, which creates significant brake and tyre dust pollution. Once vehicles accelerate away from the booth after making payment this then creates significant exhaust gas pollution too.

Roadvent is an ideal solution for both trainline and toll booth operators looking to reduce roadside pollution levels.
